Job Summary

El-Tigre Farms is seeking a skilled Swine Production Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our livestock care team, you will be responsible for the health and well-being of our pigs. Your expertise in animal husbandry and swine management will be essential in maintaining our high standards of animal care and production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat livestock health issues
  • Monitor animal health and behavior
  • Perform pig littering activities, including clipping needle teeth, docking tails, and administering medication
  • Feed and tend animals
  • Maintain quality control and production records
  • Perform general farm duties, including setting and monitoring water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns and pens
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in swine production or a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment
