Job Title: Swine Technician

El-Tigre Farms is seeking a skilled Swine Technician to join our team. As a key member of our livestock care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our swine herd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat livestock health issues
  • Monitor animal health and behavior
  • Perform pig littering activities, including clipping needle teeth, docking tails, and administering medication
  • Feed and tend animals
  • Maintain quality control and production records
  • Perform general farm duties, including setting and monitoring water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns and pens
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized and efficient interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and reliability
