About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Hardwood Floor Covering Installer to join our team at MALWA FLOORING AND CARPET LTD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate installation
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to create a solid foundation
  • Install carpeting on floors, walls, and other surfaces, using knee kickers and other equipment as needed
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests to ensure a successful installation
  • Prepare floors for installation, removing existing coverings and contaminants as necessary
  • Install resilient floor coverings, including vinyl decking materials and outdoor carpets
  • Work with the visually impaired by installing resilient stair components with special effects
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the field
  • Ability to work 35 to 40 hours per week
  • Fluency in English
