Project Engineer Assembly Operations Specialist

Job Summary:
Thermon is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing and stamping Heat tracing deliverables and providing professional technical services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review all project specifications and documentation to develop a thorough understanding of the scope of work.
- Develop Project Design Criteria (if applicable).
- Communicate project requirements to team members, including expectations on quality, schedule, and other technical restrictions.
- Ensure that all team members follow established processes and procedures, including Thermon's Design guide, Project Execution Guide, Quality Plan, and take corrective actions where deficiencies occur.
- Lead all technical aspects of the project, including project set-up, choice of technical tools, identifying team member roles, and allocating work within the team.
- Identify and evaluate scope creep in the project and communicate it to the Project Manager.
- Maintain the Project Design folder structure.
- Review all engineering deliverables for quality assurance and apply professional engineering stamps on approved documents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Electrical is preferred.
- Licensed as a registered professional engineer in Alberta.
- Technically proficient in heat tracing design and have an appropriate technical knowledge of Piping & Insulation Systems, Electricity, P&IDs, and governing Codes.
- Able to mentor team members and fuel the desire for technical growth, encourages and acknowledges individual improvement.
- Generates new ideas, challenges the status quo, takes risks, supports change, encourages innovation, and solves problems creatively.
- Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing to team members, supervisor, and internal/external customers.
