Engineering Project Specialist

Position Overview: Collaborating closely with the Senior Manager of Engineering, this role is essential for the evaluation and approval of heat tracing deliverables, as well as providing expert technical services and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review all project specifications and documentation to fully comprehend the scope of work.
- Develop Project Design Criteria as necessary.
- Communicate project requirements and quality expectations to team members.
- Ensure adherence to established processes and procedures, including the Thermon Design Guide and Quality Plan, while implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Lead all technical facets of the project, including setup, selection of technical tools, and role assignments within the team.
- Identify and assess scope creep, reporting findings to the Project Manager.
- Maintain the Project Design folder structure for organization and accessibility.
- Review engineering deliverables for quality assurance and apply professional engineering stamps on approved documents.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, is required. Candidates must hold a professional engineering license in Alberta.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in heat tracing design, along with knowledge of Piping & Insulation Systems, Electricity, P&IDs, and relevant Codes.
We seek individuals who can mentor team members, inspire technical growth, and foster innovation. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members, supervisors, and clients is essential.
