Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations leadership group, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and profitability of operations within your assigned area. Your primary focus will be on fulfilling client commitments and driving future growth in our E&I business.

Responsibilities:
  • Pursue business growth opportunities through networking, community involvement, and event promotion to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base.
  • Lead and promote FLINT's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture by enforcing policies and programs, serving as a role model, and fostering a zero-incident culture among field supervision.
  • Develop and implement local business and operational strategies aligned with our overall business goals, setting annual revenue and profitability targets, managing budgets, and monitoring financial performance.
  • Manage project scope, estimates, and proposals, particularly E&I projects, attending planning meetings, supporting regional reviews, and overseeing E&I estimates over $250k while coordinating with district teams on smaller projects.
  • Conduct site inspections focusing on safety, quality control, and client relationships, engaging in weekly E&I group meetings, supporting regional readiness reviews, and working from remote locations or regional offices with up to 25% travel.
Requirements:
  1. Journeyperson Electrical or Instrumentation Trade certification, Electrical Engineering degree, BC FSR certification, or equivalent education in business/project management, with 5+ years' experience in Oil & Gas or industrial/pipeline contracting at a supervisory/managerial level.
  2. Ability to analyze project and operational financial data to implement performance improvements, managing multiple projects with over 200 craft personnel and coordinating with contractors for maintenance, construction, fabrication, shutdowns, and labor supply.
  3. Strong technical expertise in electrical and instrumentation, including construction, shutdowns/turnarounds, maintenance, operations coordination, cost estimating, and bid development, proficient in reading RFPs, drawings, and using MS Office and project management software.
  4. Experience integrating into small to mid-sized communities as an active company representative, proficient in English (written and verbal) and physically capable of job duties, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
