About the Role

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and collaborative group of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality projects.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to assist project teams in creating world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist project teams in developing electrical plans, adapting to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.
  • Modify and review production drawings for various projects, including power plants, process facilities, industrial facilities, healthcare facilities, airports, educational institutions, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.
  • Design electrical components for project needs and requirements set forth by project managers.
  • Apply basic knowledge of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry.
  • Research and compile project-related data as required by project managers.
  • Correct and update drawings provided by senior engineers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD-related software.
  • Participate in client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration for the design of power, process, industrial, healthcare, airports, educational institutions, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an accredited program required, or;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an accredited program and successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge in standard electrical engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Basic computer skills include electrical analysis programs (e.g., RISA), AutoCAD, BIM (e.g., Revit and Tekla).
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Engineers in Training-EIT Certification preferred.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
