About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP SuccessFactors HCM/Platform Specialist to join our team at Softchoice. As a key member of our HR Technology team, you will play a critical role in supporting our people strategy by providing technical and functional expertise in the implementation and configuration of SAP SuccessFactors HCM/Platform suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with People and Culture (P&C), peers, IT, and other stakeholders to understand business objectives, operating models, and processes related to Human Capital Management (HCM).
  • Define, configure, maintain, extend, and operate the SAP SuccessFactors HCM/platform suite to deliver capabilities necessary for a world-class employee experience while supporting P&C operations.
  • Act as a key point of contact on technical issues related to Employee Life Cycle operations, with a focus on platform evolution, management & maintenance, along with integration and payroll support.
  • Responsible for the design, development, and management of integrations between SAP SuccessFactors and downstream internal and external applications.
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders and external vendors to provide technical support in addressing integration issues and delivering system enhancements.
  • Partner with the Payroll functional team to provide solutions that support and simplify payroll processing.
  • Work closely with P&C, IT, and other stakeholders to identify, analyze, and implement business process improvements and associated system enhancements that support the existing suite of HR Solutions.
  • Assess, educate, execute, and communicate impact analysis with teams and other parties relating to system releases.
  • Liaise with SAP and other partners, including managing support and incident cases to effectively identify and resolve issues.
  • Support identity and access management security functions, including provisioning with SAP and partners.
  • Ensure role-based permission is standardized and follows documented processes using best practices; conduct audits as required.
  • Maintain applicable workbooks and workflows to support alignment with processes.
  • Support the P&C team with issue resolution, including documenting, analyzing, escalating, and resolving issues.
  • Participate in meetings with diverse user groups and key stakeholders to capture and document both functional requirements and user adoption feedback.
  • Act as a consultant to business stakeholders and P&C functional owners to analyze business and technical requirements in delivering solutions as expected.
  • Assess SAP Platform solutions and contribute to HR Technology Roadmap, including prioritization, risk management, and resource assessment within your scope of accountability.
  • Create and update system processes, procedures, and support documentation for each release.
  • Partner with peers within the HR Technology team to ensure alignment and knowledge transfer.
  • Perform regular system monitoring, verifying and ensuring the integrity and availability of the system.
Requirements
  • 8+ years proven experience in a HR Technology and process role with a strong knowledge of integration and data practices.
  • Minimum 4 years hands-on configuration experience of SAP SuccessFactors EC and ECP Payroll.
  • Exposure to ADP Payroll for US and Canada.
  • Building integrations between applications/systems experience using tools such as flat file, APIs, connectors, SFTP, etc.
  • Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors APIs, data model, and reporting required.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology and/or a related discipline preferred.
  • SAP SuccessFactors certification in at least two modules with extensive platform knowledge is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization with the ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain a least privilege environment to appropriately safeguard confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong consultative skills with the ability to foster solid relationships amongst colleagues, P&C Functional Teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and partners.
  • Must be organized with the ability to plan and manage multiple competing deliverables that requires an aptitude to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze program and system functionality and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Understanding of IT best practices.
  • Understanding and acceptance that this position regularly requires work outside of normal business hours and occasional weekend or holiday work.
  • This is a hybrid position. There will be some flexibility, but you will be expected to work up to several days a week from the Toronto office and attend meetings on-site if requested.
