Job Summary

CSA Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the development of Emerging Technology Standards in the field of Information Communication Technology (ICT). The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the development of leading-edge standards solutions, assessing and qualifying new business opportunities, and interacting with industry experts, manufacturers, academia, researchers, scientists, and government officials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and secure business growth opportunities in new areas for standardization
  • Facilitate the development of standards solutions by CSA Group volunteer committee members in emerging fields of ICT
  • Establish and manage project processes and schedules, resource requirements, costs, quality, and risk
  • Manage committee activities, deliver on project milestones, and revenue targets
  • Convene in-person and virtual committee meetings
  • Maintain and expand relationships with external partners and clients to increase their awareness and support of CSA's work in ICT and systems
  • Liaise with internal and external partners to develop proposals, contracts, and financial analyses for new projects
  • Participate in ad-hoc internal task groups related to business or process improvement, research, etc.
Requirements
  • Technical degree in an engineering discipline or related area of study
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years in the design/manufacturing/implementation of products and services in a relevant ICT field
  • Acquired knowledge of the standards' industry, government policy, regulatory environment, industry landscape, and funding programs/models
  • Experience working with volunteers and/or multi-stakeholder groups
Skills
  • Excellent product development, business development, project management, organizational, and planning skills
  • Excellent people skills: managing relationships, facilitating, and networking with people at all levels
  • Ability to successfully negotiate with stakeholders in challenging situations
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication, including experience with delivering presentations and writing technical documents
