Job Title: Steel Framer

We are seeking a skilled Steel Framer to join our team at Exodus Construction Inc.

Job Summary

The Steel Framer will be responsible for reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to build structures
  • Install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on construction techniques
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Work Environment

The Steel Framer will work in a fast-paced construction environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and handling heavy loads. The role requires physical stamina, accuracy, and efficiency in completing tasks.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Equivalent experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance to apprentices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
