Job Title: Steel Framer

Exodus Construction is seeking a skilled Steel Framer to join our team. As a Steel Framer, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials according to specifications
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on steel framing techniques
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in steel framing or a related field
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and working at heights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability, accuracy, and efficiency in work
