We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Bridge Design Engineer to join our team in Western Canada. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects and contribute to the growth of our company.

Job Description

This role will involve leading bridge design projects from conceptualization to completion, ensuring that they meet all relevant technical and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for managing project teams, controlling budgets and schedules, and maintaining quality control over deliverables.

As a senior member of our team, you will provide technical direction and oversight, prepare budgets and schedules, plan the work, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines. Your expertise in structural engineering principles, materials science, and project management will enable you to contribute to the safe, efficient, and sustainable development of transportation networks.

You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including bridge planning, design, construction, and rehabilitation. Your experience with Alberta Transportation design guidelines and construction specifications will be valuable assets in this role.

Requirements
  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive design experience for public infrastructure projects involving bridge size culverts, steel, and concrete bridge structures in Alberta and Western Canada
  • Demonstrated experience with Alberta Transportation design guidelines and construction specifications
  • Ability to lead detailed design and contract preparation together with team members and as self-directed manner
  • In-depth knowledge in Alberta Transportation standards and policies and Highway Bridge Design Code (CSA-S6)
  • Ability to provide construction liaison and act as Contract Administrator
  • Ability to review and sign-off of technical design reports
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
