Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil Infrastructure Design Engineer to join our team as a Bridge and Culvert Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and constructing resource bridges and culverts in the public and private sectors.

You will have extensive knowledge of bridge design, evaluation, inspection, specifications, and construction engineering. Additionally, you will support business development, budgeting, and project management activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and construct resource bridges and culverts in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of existing bridges and culverts
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and project team members

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural concentration
  • Alberta Transportation Class A and Class B Bridge Inspection Certifications
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta
  • 5+ years of experience in bridge assessment, planning, load evaluation, and culvert sizing
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CAN/CSA-S6) and Canadian Foundation Engineering Manual
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
