Metro Supply Chain is seeking a skilled Operations Supervisor to lead our team in achieving operational excellence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule labor requirements to meet production goals within budgeted cost structures.
  • Conduct shift briefings to ensure effective communication of relevant information to employees.
  • Assign and follow up with operators and warehouse staff on task completion times.
  • Ensure order sequences are prioritized based on shipments and customers to reduce waiting times.
  • Hold team members accountable for proper picking and packing procedures and quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze daily/weekly departmental performance through KPI tracking and data collection.
  • Approve labor hours using agile in adherence with company policies and maintain accurate record keeping.
  • Provide daily feedback to employees through coaching and administer performance appraisals.
  • Maintain close interaction with customers to develop strong relationships and assess service requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Fulfill duties of a supervisor under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Requirements:

  • College Diploma in Business Management with a focus in Logistics Management or equivalent experience.
  • Strong customer-centricity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage through change and develop self and others.
  • Planning and results-oriented with excellent communication skills.
