Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing and Recruitment Specialist to join our Medical Affairs team at William Osler Health System. This role will provide administrative support in the credentialing and recruitment of physicians, dentists, and midwives, ensuring the successful completion of the credentialing and recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and process new applications for professional staff wanting to practice at Osler
  • Coordinate temporary privileges and review, track, and evaluate all credentialing documentation
  • Perform due diligence to identify any concerns and meet with the Senior Advisor to determine how they will be addressed
  • Meet weekly with the Senior Advisor to review applications in process and identify those completed and ready to be presented at the credentials committee
  • Attend meetings of the credentials committee and minute meetings at the request of the Senior Advisor
  • Coordinate the onboarding/orientation process for new physicians, including obtaining photo ID badge, parking, access to hospital, and orientation session
  • Prepare offer letters and contracts for successful candidates
  • Work with the Senior Advisor, Recruitment and Contracts, on the implementation of the SmartRecruiters system to streamline the recruitment process
  • Extract statistical reports from CMARS upon request by Director, Medical Affairs and/or Chief of Staff
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years administrative work experience in a hospital or similar healthcare setting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of physicians and staff
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and efficiently manage multiple assignments
  • Ability to work within a strong cohesive team structure
  • Possess a strong client focus and willingness to learn and understand the application of the Public Hospital Act, CPSO policies, and professional staff bylaws
