Senior Director, LEO Network Operations

Telesat is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director to lead our LEO Network Operations team. As a key member of our Network Operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.
Main Responsibilities:- Optimize network performance and responsiveness to meet customer needs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and meeting financial targets.
- Establish and maintain relationships with technology partners to ensure the development and maintenance of infrastructure elements.
- Effectively manage and develop the LEO NO team to meet technical, commercial, and delivery objectives.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in satellite systems implementation and maintenance, with a focus on customer service.
- Minimum 15 years of management experience, with direct reports in a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in budget preparation, presentation, and reporting.
- Expert knowledge of satellite communication technologies, including earth station and satellite spectrum, operational performance measurement, and reporting.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to summarize complex problems and solutions.
- Working environment is generally a comfortable indoor office environment, but may require occasional travel to customer facilities, earth stations, or regional company facilities.
- Ability to respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis.
