Software Development Manager, Data Science and Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Manager to lead our technical initiatives and drive the success of our software engineering team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping the scope and direction of our technical projects, managing a team of software engineers, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of 8-10 software engineers, providing technical guidance and making critical decisions to meet project milestones.
- Drive project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence within the team.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in software development methodologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical initiatives and projects.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve team efficiency and productivity.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for adoption and integration.
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- ~3+ years of hands-on technical leadership and/or people management experience of a team of at least 15 software engineers.
- Proven experience managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
- Strong expertise in software development methodologies and best practices.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
