Courier Driver Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Courier Driver to join our team at Fast Lane Courier Ltd. As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, as well as operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
  • Provide excellent customer service and professionalism in all interactions
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Keep accurate records of items received and delivered
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload goods with care and attention to detail
  • Follow directions and read maps to ensure timely and efficient delivery
  • Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and walk for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability, dependability, and a strong work ethic
Work Environment:

This is an on-the-road job with a permanent work term. You will be required to work 45 hours per week, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
