Courier Driver Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Courier Driver to join our team at Fast Lane Courier Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and Pick Up: Safely transport and deliver packages, messages, and other items by hand, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Operate Vehicles: Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of items received and delivered, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered.
  • Transportation/Travel: Possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record, with experience in local transportation and travel.
  • Security and Safety: Undergo a driving record check (abstract) and adhere to company safety protocols, including handling dangerous goods and following directions.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with the ability to handle heavy loads (up to 23 kg/50 lbs and 45 kg/100 lbs) and walk.
  • Work Environment: On-the-road job, with a permanent work term and 45 hours of work per week.
