Courier Driver Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Courier Driver to join our team at Fast Lane Courier Ltd. As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
  • Provide customer service and professionalism in customer interactions
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Keep a record of items received and delivered
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
  • Load and unload goods
  • Follow directions and read maps
  • Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems
  • Provide customer service and support
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Reliability and dependability
Work Environment:

This is an on-the-road job with a permanent schedule. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The hours of work are 45 hours per week.
