Woodworking Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at Hardcastle Formwork Ltd.

This is a permanent position that requires the individual to work in various locations, including construction sites and industrial plants. The ideal candidate should have experience working with wood, wood substitutes, and other materials, as well as knowledge of building codes and safety procedures.

• Prepare layouts according to building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.

The successful candidate will be required to work in a physically demanding environment with tight deadlines. They must be comfortable working at heights, in noisy conditions, and handling heavy loads.

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in woodworking or a related field.
• Safety certifications and licenses: Steel-toed safety boots are mandatory.
• Language proficiency: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.

The salary for this position is $45,000 per year, paid bi-weekly. This is based on the standard rate for a skilled tradesperson in the industry. Additional benefits include:
