Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our team in Audit & Assurance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing audit engagements independently and effectively. Your extensive knowledge of the CPA Canada Handbook and review procedures will enable you to identify and resolve complex accounting, audit, and tax issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and review audit engagements, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  2. Develop and implement effective engagement plans, taking into account client industry trends, technical developments, and performance drivers.
  3. Mentor and coach junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and development.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities and ensuring excellent service delivery.
  5. Contribute to the development of our firm's quality management system, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation with at least 4 years of experience in assurance services.
  • Sound knowledge of the CPA Canada Handbook and review procedures.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing audit engagements and teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a paperless environment and proficiency in CaseWare/Caseview and TaxPrep is an asset.
