Senior Academic Program Development Lead

As a Senior Academic Program Development Lead at BCIT, you will play a key role in shaping the academic direction of the institution. This exciting opportunity involves leading and supporting strategic initiatives to advance program planning, development, and review.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Dean to develop and implement internal and external quality assurance and enhancement processes that ensure academic standards and industry relevance in all programs.
- Work closely with Educational Council and program champions to ensure timely review and approval of quality program proposals.
- Facilitate interactions between program areas and service areas such as Education Council, the Learning and Teaching Centre, and Institutional Research Office.
- Conduct research and analysis to bring new and innovative perspectives in support of BCIT's strategic direction.
- Lead discussions and resolve issues involving multiple programs for financial or educational gain.
We are looking for an experienced professional with a Master's degree in education or an equivalent plus a minimum of five years' current post-secondary experience. You should have a solid working knowledge of educational systems, including curriculum development at the course and program level, and program review.
You should also possess excellent leadership and transition management skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and think innovatively and diversely. Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, are essential.
A proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners, build and sustain relationships, and capitalize on opportunity, creativity, and innovation is required.
