Elementary Generalist Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Elementary Generalist to join our team at Holy Family Catholic. As a Generalist, you will be responsible for teaching all subject areas in the Elementary Program of Studies and potentially other assignments in the K-6 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach all subject areas in the Elementary Program of Studies
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress

Requirements:

  • Qualifications to teach in the Province of Alberta
  • Proficiency in the use of educational technology
  • Understanding of assessment for learning
  • Knowledge and experience with literacy, numeracy, and social and emotional development
  • Ability to work in a rural Catholic community environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Catholic faith
