Job Opportunity

Holy Family Catholic Regional Division is seeking a dedicated and skilled Elementary Generalist Teacher to join our team at Good Shepherd School in Peace River, Alberta.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified educator to teach all subject areas in the Elementary Program of Studies and potentially other assignments in the K-6 environment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with literacy, numeracy, Indigenous students, and the social and emotional development and mental health of children.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach all subject areas in the Elementary Program of Studies
  • Potentially other assignments in the K-6 environment
  • Work with students, parents, and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Use educational technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Assess student learning and progress

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to teach in the Province of Alberta
  • Proficiency in the use of educational technology
  • Understanding of assessment for learning
  • Knowledge and experience with literacy, numeracy, Indigenous students, and the social and emotional development and mental health of children
  • Ability to work in a rural Catholic community environment
  • Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
