Job Opportunity: Elementary Generalist

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified Elementary Generalist to join our team at Good Shepherd School in Peace River, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching all subject areas in the Elementary Program of Studies and potentially other assignments in the K-6 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching literacy, numeracy, and other subject areas in the Elementary Program of Studies
  • Working with Indigenous students and supporting their social and emotional development and mental health
  • Using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Assessing student learning and progress
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum

Requirements:

  • Qualifications to teach in the Province of Alberta
  • Proficiency in the use of educational technology
  • Understanding of assessment for learning
  • Ability to work in a rural Catholic community environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Catholic faith
