We are seeking a motivated Cafeteria Attendant to join our team at Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in our Staff Cafeteria "The Bean". In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and interact daily with colleagues and leaders, opening the door to endless opportunities with a luxury hotel brand. Key responsibilities include preparing and serving food, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and providing exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities:



  • Offers professional, engaging, and friendly service to colleagues and leaders
  • Communicates with the Chef to learn daily work tasks and their coordination, and completes daily prep lists
  • Assists the Chef and culinary team with light preparation duties in the kitchen
  • Remains knowledgeable of all areas in the staff cafeteria
  • Knows about plate presentations and preparations of all menu items
  • Communicates with all cooks daily for proper pars and production requirements
  • Fills and maintains the prep list up to par and checks daily
  • Restocks clean dishes, flatware, and trays
  • Replenishes condiments and food items in the salad bar
  • Cleans and sanitizes all high-touch point surfaces
  • Sweeps and mops floors
  • Adheres to and follows ALLSAFE protocols for the entire workspace
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:



  • Minimum 6 months of food and beverage experience
  • Safe Food Handling Certification required
  • Able to lift, carry, and pull up to 50lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
  • Able to withstand exposure to kitchen equipment
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Is dedicated to a high level of customer service and attention to detail
