Estimating Expert for Real Estate Development

We are seeking a skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with expertise in estimating, project management, and construction.
About the RoleThe Senior Estimator will play a pivotal role in preparing and coordinating estimates for projects, working closely with Project Management and Business Development to secure bids and proposals. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed estimates for all design stages, including quantity take-offs and estimated costs of materials, labor, and equipment required.
- Evaluate and track labor pricing/production for specific projects and locations, demonstrating proficiency in material, labor, sub, and equipment pricing for various trade disciplines.
- Maintain up-to-date cost data base to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Familiarize yourself with the procurement process and lead operations in purchasing activities.
- Manage job-specific estimating teams in assembling and submitting bids.
- Establish responsibilities and assignments for estimating team members, coordinate and supervise work, and establish schedules for task completion.
- Review estimate assignments for accuracy and completeness before formal submission.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in estimating, with project management experience being beneficial but not required.
- Hard bid experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to gather and organize information from multiple sources and compose materials for formal distribution.
- Strong cost estimating skills, including breaking down assemblies to develop ROMs, budgets, and actual work.
- Ability to develop bid packages for vendors and subcontractors.
- Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Procurement management knowledge.
- Extensive experience with plan review.
- Thorough knowledge of residential single-family, multi-family wood frame construction, and light commercial.
- Strong MS Office suite skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project or other digital tools.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a full benefits package and additional perks.
