Job Description

The Industrial Building Group (IBG) is seeking an experienced Building Design Project Manager to lead the building design project team. The selected individual will be responsible for consistency and quality in overall building design execution and multi-discipline personnel performance and development.

This position involves managing third-party building engineering consultants, including architectural and MEP design firms. The Building Design Project Manager will also oversee project performance metrics, such as productivity, quality, and schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, or architectural engineering. A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant design experience and 2 years of relevant building project management experience are required.

The Building Design Project Manager must be fluent in French and have functional knowledge of English. They should also possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to collaborate with a group of experienced professionals.

This role requires active communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, or architectural engineering
  • Minimum 10-15 years of relevant design experience and 2 years of relevant building project management experience
  • Fluent in French and functional knowledge of English
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Architect license in Quebec required
