About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Kaizen Lab Inc. as part of our waste management and recycling operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our recycling and waste centre, ensuring smooth and efficient handling of recyclables and waste, and maximizing production in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the facility in accordance with the operating contract;
  • Supervise the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of processes, procedures, and programs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability of the transfer station;
  • Respond to customer service complaints and work with all employees to reduce complaints;
  • Attend regular meetings with Metro Vancouver and report on the operation of the facility;
  • Present monthly financial results to senior management;
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and month-end reports to senior management;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards;
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve safety, productivity, and profitability;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives;
  • Provide guidance and support to employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in waste management and recycling operations;
  • Strong leadership and management skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities;
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Experience in operational financial management is preferred;
