Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen operations and oversee the preparation of meals in accordance with our standards. This role will be responsible for ensuring efficient food production, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and fostering a positive team dynamic among our culinary staff.
Key Responsibilities- Chef Management: Supervise kitchen staff, plan menus, and manage inventory to ensure seamless meal preparation.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative, flavorful dishes that showcase our expertise.
- Quality Control: Inspect all prepared foods to guarantee they meet our quality standards.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a spotless kitchen environment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Talent Development: Train and mentor junior chefs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
To succeed as our Executive Chef, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate: A strong educational foundation in cooking techniques and kitchen management.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience: Proven track record in a senior chef or executive chef role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
This position requires you to work in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment with long hours during peak periods. You must be comfortable working under pressure, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
Cuisine SpecialtiesWe specialize in serving a range of international cuisines, including African cuisine. As our Executive Chef, you will be expected to develop and maintain these specialties, creating unique and exciting menu items that showcase our culinary expertise.
Benefits and SalaryWe offer a competitive salary package, ranging from $60,000 to $70,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes benefits such as comprehensive training, ongoing professional development opportunities, and a generous employee discount program.
