About the Role

We are looking for a talented software engineer to lead the development of real-time algorithms for our next-generation laser weld measurement product. The successful candidate will have a strong background in embedded software development, specifically in C-based languages for Linux targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop real-time algorithms for embedded Linux targets
  • Analyze and optimize existing algorithms for improved performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware components
  • Mentor junior developers and advise on best practices for real-time software development
  • Develop and maintain production-quality algorithms
  • Contribute to the advancement of our team's algorithm development processes and tools

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development
  • Strong understanding of Linux as a development platform and embedded target platform
  • Experience developing embedded software for ARM microprocessors
  • Extensive knowledge of embedded and real-time software development concepts
  • Strong interest in software development for industrial applications
  • Mathematical background is a plus
  • Experience with FPGA development projects is a plus
  • Authorized to work in Canada
