Novari Health Inc. is a leading provider of enterprise-scale software solutions for the healthcare industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented AI Research Engineer Intern to join our team in Kingston, Ontario.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving AI initiatives aimed at improving our solutions. Key responsibilities will include collaborating with our AI Research Team to support ongoing projects, contributing to the design and implementation of AI algorithms, conducting data analysis, and evaluating the performance of AI models.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop your skills in AI research and development. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in computer science, data structures, and algorithms, as well as experience with programming languages such as Python and R.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, a strong understanding of AI concepts and algorithms, and experience with data manipulation and visualization tools. Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with our AI Research Team to support ongoing projects.
  2. Contribute to the design and implementation of AI algorithms.
  3. Conduct data analysis and evaluation of AI models.
  4. Prepare detailed documentation of research methodologies and findings.
  5. Communicate effectively with team members to contribute ideas and share insights.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of AI concepts and algorithms.
  3. Experience with data manipulation and visualization tools.
  4. Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python and R.
  5. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical and non-technical staff members.

Working Conditions:

  1. Employee may sit for prolonged periods of time.
  2. Prolonged periods of time viewing computer monitor and keyboarding.
  3. Tight deadlines, with multiple and rapidly changing priorities.
  4. Interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Open office floor plan with ambient noise and a regular flow of people around the office.

Hours of Work:

  1. Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, starting at 0800, 0830 or 0900, as agreed upon between the employee and their manager.
  2. Minimum hours of work each week is 40, unless otherwise agreed to between the employee and their manager.
  3. Employee may be required to work additional hours/days to meet deadlines.
