Job Title: Development Intern

About the Role:

  • Support Community Engagement: Assist in preparing articles and responding to comments on social media, providing research and drafting responses to questions and concerns from the community, and preparing presentations for internal and external meetings.
  • Various Project Development Tasks: Help with permitting, land control, project management tasks, and monitoring, drafting, and preparing public policy positions and stakeholder engagement documents.

  • Develop knowledge on the convergence of government, associations, and EDF business, including public policy development, legislative processes, strategic communications, stakeholder management, corporate brand and reputation management, and electricity markets rules, governance, and regulatory/implementation issues.
  • Participate in high-pressure RFP situations and see projects develop from greenfield status, playing a key role in advancing Ontario's commitment to net zero.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Renewable Energy, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team and manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
