The Nishan Singh Brar, Kiranjeet Kaur Brar company is currently seeking a skilled Farm Operations Specialist to join their team.

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year

Job Description:

Farm Operations Specialists play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of farms and agricultural businesses. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing daily farm activities, managing equipment and resources, and maintaining high-quality crop production.

  • Planting, Cultivating, and Harvesting Crops: You will be responsible for planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining Equipment: You will ensure that all farm equipment is properly maintained, repaired, and serviced to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Monitoring and Adjusting Farm Conditions: You will closely monitor weather conditions, soil quality, and pest management strategies to make informed decisions about farm operations.
  • Supervising Farm Staff: You will oversee and supervise a team of farm workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they are performing their duties effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain efficient farming practices
  • Oversee daily farm activities, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
  • Manage equipment, resources, and supplies
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Develop and implement plans to improve crop yields and reduce waste

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring long hours on your feet and exposure to various weather conditions.
  • You must be able to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and move quickly to respond to changing situations.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in agriculture or a related field an asset
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in farm operations or a related field
  • Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, physical stamina to perform manual labor
