AAMLTF Regulatory Compliance Specialist

At Banque Nationale du Canada, we're seeking a highly skilled AMLTFA Lead Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. This key role will play a crucial part in ensuring the bank's compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing regulations.
About the Role- You will work closely with our PCMLTFA Chief Advisor to align audit processes with internal laws, regulations, and standards.
- Plan, execute, and coordinate audits of processes, systems, and activities related to the PCMLTFA, considering identified risks.
- Effectively communicate audit results to internal stakeholders and maintain a close relationship with other risk management sectors.
- Stay informed about regulatory requirements, industry practices, and audit techniques, enhancing expertise among colleagues.
- Carry out rigorous follow-ups with partners on action plans and ensure quality documentation.
- Represent the internal audit team to regulatory authorities on PCMLTFA matters and maintain a transparent relationship.
You'll be part of a 13-member professional team within Internal Audit, reporting to the Senior Director. Our team assesses and advises on the effectiveness of retail business processes, performing audit engagements on regulatory risk management and brand governance.
Prerequisites- An industry-related bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience or a master's degree in accounting, finance, law, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in internal or external auditing, with knowledge of auditing principles, professional standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise in combating PCMLTFA, with in-depth knowledge of local and international regulations and compliance practices.
- Ability to evaluate complex information, identify problems, and propose strategic solutions in line with regulatory expectations.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools to support audit recommendations.
The estimated salary for this role is between $100,000 and $140,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
LocationThis position is based in Montreal, Quebec.
