The Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to expand our engineering team and help us continue to grow our product. As a member of our high-performing backend team, you will work on building technology for technologists and contribute to the development of a fast-growing developer tool.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and test features for our high-performance backend and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with a Product Manager, Designer, and other engineers to ship in a quick-moving, iterative environment, balancing speed with high-quality code and product.
  • Contribute to improving product effectiveness and quality, team velocity, and continuous deployment capabilities.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers on your team to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers to their autonomy.
  • Assist in troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering issues.
Requirements
  • A proven track record of building highly performing, high-quality, event-driven backends.
  • Expertise in building cloud-based backend apps with a microservice architecture.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in diagnosing and resolving issues and performance bottlenecks with event-driven, microservices-oriented backends.
  • Demonstrated expertise in high-quality Python code.
