Organization Overview: The Lung Association, Manitoba is a leading health charity dedicated to supporting lung health in Manitoba. With a rich history dating back to 1904, the organization has been a trusted resource for lung health information, support, and advocacy.

Job Opportunity: Due to the upcoming retirement of the current Chief Executive Officer, The Lung Association, Manitoba is seeking a dynamic leader to build on recent success and lead staff and volunteers to achieve the organization's goals and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute the strategic plan to achieve optimal performance.
  2. Oversee core functions including strategic planning, financial management, program delivery, agency administration, fund development, human resources, operational management, and community and stakeholder relations.
  3. Lead in the planning, evaluation, and execution of programs, adapting to the needs of participants as they evolve.
  4. Identify new areas for collaboration, build integrated partnerships, and support overall advancement for the organization.
  5. Implement and advance the organization to deliver on the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action.
  6. Strengthen the organization's community profile and foster relationships with key stakeholders and establish strategic community partnerships with allied organizations and government.
  7. Advance positive and collaborative community presence, including engagement with existing and potential funders.

Requirements:

  1. Post-secondary education in social services, business, or a relevant discipline.
  2. Senior progressive leadership experience and ability to mobilize and develop teams.
  3. Successful track record of risk management, budget management, and oversight of financial operations.
  4. Experience with human resources planning and ability to foster higher performance and engagement with a small team.
  5. Ability to act as the public-facing spokesperson for community events, meetings, speaking engagements, and media.
