About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Communications Specialist to join our team at Worldsource Securities Inc. As a key member of our marketing department, you will play a critical role in developing and executing strategic communications plans that drive business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Strategic Communications Plans: Collaborate with our Director, Content and Communications to create comprehensive communications strategies that engage internal and external audiences.
  2. Craft Compelling Content: Create clear, well-written copy for various communications tactics, including regulatory and operational pieces, corporate and internal communications, media, thought leadership, and more.
  3. Manage Communications Needs: Oversee day-to-day communications requirements, including external communications, editing, and managing the communications inbox.
  4. Support Marketing Initiatives: Partner with our Marketing and Communications team members to ensure seamless execution across tactics and channels, supporting business development and event collateral, content marketing, and other priorities.
  5. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and internal teams to support their communications needs, ensuring accurate and timely execution of all communications.
  6. Identify Opportunities: Proactively identify gaps and opportunities for new content, working with relevant parties to develop and execute.
  7. Approach Content Strategically: Ensure copy delivers on individual project goals and our overarching communications strategy, considering data, user research, and feedback to continually improve the quality of and engagement with our communications.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Minimum 5 years of communications experience, with a background in the financial industry.
  2. Writing Skills: History of writing engaging and informative content for a diverse mix of audiences.
  3. Attention to Detail: Impeccable attention to detail with a firm understanding of grammar, syntax, and CP style.
  4. Collaboration: Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team and fast-paced environment.
  5. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills that allow you to handle competing projects, pivot on priorities when needed, and embrace change.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, advocating for the audience while accepting constructive feedback in ways that help build trust and accountability.
