About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team at Ecolomondo Environmental (Hawkesbury) Inc. in a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
    • Repair or replace defective machinery parts as needed.
  • Installation and Commissioning
    • Install new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper setup and configuration.
    • Commission systems and components, ensuring they are functioning correctly.
  • Welding and Fabrication
    • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup.
    • Perform welding tasks, including oxy-acetylene welding, flux core arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, and shielded metal arc welding.
  • Operational Support
    • Operate machinery and equipment, including hoisting and lifting equipment.
    • Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and ensure plant systems are operating normally.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities.
    • Complete and maintain station records, logs, and reports.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification.
    • Construction Millwright Trade Certification.
  • Experience and Skills
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Team player with flexibility and dependability.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience
    • Experience with conveyor systems, electrical and electronic controls, gas and air dryers, gas compressors, heat exchangers, hydraulic systems, industrial and stationary engines, pneumatic systems, power tools, press brakes and metalworking equipment, pumps and compressors, welding equipment, forklifts, reactors, pollution control systems, meters, high-pressure boilers, and hand tools.
  • Specialization or Experience
    • Experience in troubleshooting, bearing, seals, and packing, stainless steel welding, laser leveling and aligning, computerized alignment, programmable logic controllers, welding, and heating.
