Job Summary


As a Guest Service Supervisor at Marriott International, you will play a key role in ensuring that our guests have an exceptional experience. Your primary responsibility will be to provide excellent customer service, handle guest check-ins, and manage the front desk operations.


We are looking for a highly organized and communicative individual who can lead our team with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. You will be responsible for setting up accurate accounts for each guest, verifying payment, and ensuring rates match market codes. Additionally, you will compile and review daily reports, complete cashier and closing reports, and supply guests with directions and property information.


Key Responsibilities



  • Process all guest check-ins, verifying guest identity, form of payment, assigning room, and activating/issuing room key
  • Set up accurate accounts for each guest according to their requirements
  • Enter Marriott Rewards information
  • Ensure rates match market codes, document exceptions
  • Secure payment prior to issuing room key, verify/adjust billing
  • Compile and review daily reports/logs/contingency lists
  • Complete cashier and closing reports
  • Supply guests with directions and property information
  • Accommodate guest requests, contacting appropriate staff if necessary
  • Follow up to ensure requests have been met
  • Process all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges
  • Balance and drop receipts
  • Count and secure bank at beginning and end of shift
  • Obtain manual authorizations and follow all Accounting procedures
  • Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft

Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds without assistance
