Job Summary

The Level Artist will be responsible for creating and implementing game levels for AAA games, working closely with the game design team to ensure that the levels meet the artistic and technical requirements of the game.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the game design team to understand the game's vision, objectives, and style to create engaging and immersive game levels.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the game's technical constraints and artistic direction to ensure that the levels are optimized for performance and visual quality.
  • Work with 3D artists, designers, and programmers to create and implement level content, including modeling, texturing, and lighting.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of level content to ensure that it meets the game's quality standards and is aligned with the artistic direction.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of game development tools and technologies to ensure that the levels are created and implemented efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the game testing team to identify and resolve any issues or bugs related to level content.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in game development to ensure that the levels are created with the latest techniques and technologies.

Requirements

  • College diploma in 3D Art techniques for video games or equivalent training or experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in modeling, texture, lighting, and image processing or other relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of game development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
