We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hairdressing Salon Operations Manager to join our team at the Hair Hut Barber Shop. This is a permanent, full-time position working 30-40 hours per week.

Job Summary

The Hairdressing Salon Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the salon, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. This includes scheduling work, arranging for maintenance and repair, assisting clients with special needs, monitoring quality and production levels, and requisitioning materials and equipment as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule work for staff members, ensure timely completion of tasks, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Arrange for regular maintenance and repairs of equipment and facilities to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Client Service: Assist clients with special needs, provide excellent customer service, and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Quality Control: Monitor quality and production levels, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes as necessary.
  • Supply Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain inventory levels.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff members in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Office and Volunteer Supervision: Supervise office and volunteer staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • At least 1 month but less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Reliable and punctual
  • A client-focused approach
Working Conditions

This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day. You will also need to be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
