Job Title: Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Huu-ay-aht First Nations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our organization, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and contributing to the development of our HR policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR support to management and employees, including recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and programs to support the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform HR decisions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR, preferably in a government or non-profit organization.
  • Professional certification in HR, such as CHRP.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
