Job Title: General Welder

We are seeking a skilled General Welder to join our team at Progressive Machine & Mechanical Service Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and execute welding process specifications to ensure high-quality results.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to identify and address any discrepancies.
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) and (AOC) to precision-cut metal components.
  • Employ various welding techniques, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), to join metal components.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Own tools and equipment, including steel-toed safety boots and a welding helmet.
