Financial Analyst Job Description

Mircom Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Office team. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the month-end process, providing accurate financial reports and analysis, and driving business growth through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing timely and accurate consolidated monthly financial results, including balance sheet account reconciliations and biweekly overtime analysis.
  2. Financial Analysis: Analyze monthly results to identify emerging trends, issues, and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to senior finance team members.
  3. Project Accounting: Manage project accounting and departmental adjustments, including the preparation and posting of month-end entries.
  4. Intercompany Transactions: Book and reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams within Finance and globally to influence others and manage timelines.
  6. Client Service: Adapt to the needs of internal and external clients, providing exceptional financial and operational support.
  7. Year-End Audit: Assist in preparing the year-end audit package and liaise with external auditors.
Requirements & Skills:
  1. Education: College diploma or university degree in Finance.
  2. Professional Designation: Working towards CPA or CPA designation.
  3. Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a Financial Analyst, with 3+ years in a vertically integrated manufacturing environment.
  4. Skills: Above-average analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills, and advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
  5. ERP Knowledge: Demonstrated ability in financial analysis and process improvement, with experience in ERP systems, including implementation planning.
