Assistant Store Manager

At Urban Barn, we're passionate about helping people create homes they love. As a Full-time Assistant Store Manager, you'll play a key role in enriching the customer experience and growing your experience with a well-known Canadian retailer.
As a member of our dynamic team, you'll participate in the management of an inspiring furniture and home decor store. You'll collaborate with the Manager to create a positive working environment for the team and an excellent shopping experience for our customers.
We're looking for candidates who can work 40 hours per week and are available to work a variety of shifts on weekdays, weeknights, and weekends. If you love beautiful home decor and helping people, come put your passion to work at Urban Barn.
Key Responsibilities:- Guide customers in their decor choices and ensure they find the perfect pieces for their homes.
- Contribute to the achievement of sales objectives and drive business growth.
- Communicate your expectations to the team and provide training, coaching, and feedback to ensure everyone is working towards a common goal.
- Manage store merchandising, inventory, and shrink to maintain a visually appealing and well-stocked store.
- Lead and maintain the visual standards and cleanliness of the store to create a welcoming environment for customers.
- At least 2 years of Retail Sales Management experience with a proven track record of success.
- Experience with achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- A passion for interior decor and merchandising, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proven ability to coach and develop a team of top performers.
- Commitment to a flexible schedule and a willingness to work a variety of shifts.
- The ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg.
