About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team within the National Office group at Royal Bank of Canada. As a Data Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of data professionals to support business decisions and drive growth in the payments space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with data partners to enhance visualization, data availability, and automation for reporting needs
  • Develop reports using tools such as Tableau to meet business and financial imperatives
  • Participate in meetings to gather and document business requirements
  • Support business and product teams with data and insights
  • Work in an agile setting to support Kanban board updates, stand-ups, and meetings
Requirements
  • Working towards a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or other quantitative discipline
  • Proficient coding experience in programming languages like SQL, Python, etc.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Ability to learn and absorb new concepts quickly and apply new knowledge
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to conceptualize strategy
  • Attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Experience connecting back-end databases/server to front-end user interface
  • Ability to tell stories using data and draw insights
