Job Overview

This role can be based out of various locations across Canada, offering a fully remote work schedule. The position requires working in shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm ET, and Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm ET.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is between $52,000 and $65,000 annually, plus a 5% stipend.

Job Description
  • This role involves supporting the Supervisors with coordinating the intake process for all document production and document support requests.
  • You will work with Document Specialists to ensure document production processes and guidelines are followed.
  • Acting as a liaison between DSG and its clients regarding workflow and addressing escalated concerns and/or issues.
  • Maintaining process and procedures that impact metrics to ensure duties are performed efficiently.
  • Developing style sheets, designing macros, and mastering new presentation/word processing software as needed.
  • Working with Supervisors to ensure consistent information is shared from one shift to another.
  • Coaching team members and training new staff in areas such as service quality, client service, standards, and needs of the business.
  • Document Specialist responsibilities include creating various legal documents through copy typing, transcription, scanning, or other methods.
  • Performing proofreading and checking documents for formatting, spelling, grammar, and sense/clarity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Post Secondary Diploma with specialization in legal/office or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a professional work environment with 3 years of relevant document services experience.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, documents, and procedures is an asset.
  • Excellent communications skills in English (verbal and written) are required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio is necessary.
