About This Role

The Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting will be responsible for the following key functions:

  • Participate in the company's vision, strategy, and ensure that accounting processes are followed in accordance with global business standards.

  • Contribute to the annual budget process for the division, including the preparation of reports to upper management.
  • Complete monthly forecasting for all financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support finance integrations of the company's growing business unit and help establish the appropriate financial infrastructure to support the business.
  • Participate in the month-end close process, including the preparation of HFM journal entries.
  • Provide accounting analysis support to the business units on various accounting issues.
  • Prepare monthly Profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow variance analysis.
  • Interact with various groups (Tax, Treasury, internal audit, corporate) to respond to ad hoc inquiries.
  • Consult on new or changing business transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment consistent with global business standards.
  • Ensure all standard processes and policies are applied, and all transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Participate in special projects in collaboration with other teams.
Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with the following qualifications:

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of similar experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Detailed-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and autonomy.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business requiring development and refinement of processes and procedures.
  • Comfortable dealing with accounting and financial transactions and issues and able to provide sound recommendations.
  • Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of HFM and/or Oracle system is an asset.
  • Experience with M&A integrations and building financial planning and reporting infrastructure from the ground up is an asset.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Bilingual (French and English) is an asset.
